AIR BADMINTON
THE NEW OUTDOOR GAME
Badminton is a popular sport with more than 300 million active players worldwide. AirBadminton was specially developed by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) to bring a new dimension to badminton sport outdoors.

With the new AirShuttle and any normal badminton racket badminton can be played on hard, grass and sandy surfaces: in parks, in gardens, on streets, playgrounds and on beaches.

This makes the sport more accessible to more people around the world.

THE AS AIRSHUTTLE
Due to its shape and higher weight, the AS Airshuttle is significantly less susceptible to wind.

Nevertheless, it convinces with badminton-like flight characteristics, so that it can be played with normal badminton rackets.

The high durability of the material makes the ball very robust and suitable for outdoor use.

INNOVATION FOR NEW PATHS
In May 2019, the Badminton World Federation (BWF) announced the launch of the new outdoor game AirBadminton. Using the same rackets but with the new outdoor shuttlecock, the AirShuttle, people can play badminton on hard, grass and sand surfaces. By improving accessibility and more positive experiences with the outdoor game, the BWF hopes to increase people's awareness and participation in Badminton.

"AirBadminton makes it easier for everyone to engage in sports and is more suitable to play in different environments," said Dong Jiong, VICTOR's Global Technical Advisor, after playing with AirShuttle. In the next phase, BWF plans to provide a permanent outdoor court on various surfaces for public use and will work together to encourage more people to play badminton in more places.

VICTOR is the first badminton brand to partner with BWF and release AS AirShuttle.
